A 2-Part Intimacy Workshop for Couples
-
Has your once passionate and creative love affair become more of a routine operation?
-
Do you feel that you and your partner have mismatched libidos?
-
Are you ready to level up intimacy in your partnership? Overcome resentment? Deepen connection?
-
Do you want to discover what truly makes sex satisfying for you and your partner and learn to co-create mind-blowing experiences that leave you both breathless and wanting more?
-
Do you want to treat yourself to two weekend staycations focussed on intimacy, connection and pleasure with your partner?
You can have it all. You can have the stability and emotional nourishment of long term partnership AND you can have the hot sex that your body and your soul crave. I could go on and on about why the two seem at odds sometimes, but regardless of how we wind up here, we don't have to stay here.. I was there once too, confused about why I was in "bed death" with some one that I used to not be able to keep my hands off of!
What To Expect:
In this online group workshop, expect to be in an environment that encourages ease and playfulness as we explore topics that deepen intimacy and sexual connection in our partnerships. Each day, we will begin with relaxation, grounding and connection through activities such as erotic breathwork or guided visualizations. Each day's meeting will cover multiple topics and will be a mixture of lecture Q and A, demonstrations and at-home practice. There will be no homework, but there will be A LOT to talk about and share as you go through the weekends together.
Boundaries of the Group Workshop
As a group, we will all be called to commit to confidentiality and a supportive attitude so that we can grow in our human need for safe and abiding community. We will all be required to stay within physical boundaries that hold the comfort of the group participants as a top priority. Although this is a skills-based workshop, we won't be taking our clothes off and trying out sexual positions and techniques. You can read about that in the magazine rack at the grocery store. Here, we will be focussing on the deeper dynamics of interpersonal play and co-existence. Clothing always stays on and there will be no touching of genitals or escalation toward orgasm in the group gatherings.
How To Show Up

I ask that you show up wearing comfortable clothing that feels good on your body (think athleisure or yoga attire) and in a place that you will have no distractions or interruptions. Devote this time to you, your partner and your partnership! You deserve this undivided devotion. Make it special! Bring in fresh flowers or have a plate of ripe fruits nearby. Make it yours by creating an environment for ease, joy and connection.
Application Process and Inclusivity
The application is solely used as a safety protocol to ensure the container that we create together is "safe enough" to explore these topics together. I ask that you share a little bit about yourselves and what you are hoping to get out of this workshop. This workshop is open to every one, regardless of faith, race, gender, sexual orientation, nationality....or any other isms. If you feel you cannot afford the workshop but would benefit greatly from participating, please reach out. I offer a few spaces on a sliding scale.

Principles of Intimacy: Embodying Vulnerability and Empathy
Hosted by Karma Yoga
Falls Church, VA.
February 11, 2023 4-6pm
"The quality of your life ultimately depends on the quality of your relationships"
-Esther Perel
Meaningful, lasting relationships are built on vulnerability & empathy, which create the container for intimacy to flourish.

In this workshop we will:
-
Learn what it looks and feels like to be vulnerable (it’s not what you might think)
-
Discover how to better empathize so it resonates and deepens your connection (spoiler: most of us are terrible at empathizing; good news is it’s a teachable skill)
-
Practice these foundations of intimacy with gentle guidance & support
If you are seeking to create better understanding, deeper connections and more meaningful relationships this workshop is for you.
Come solo or with a friend or partner to practice connecting with another human in a playful, authentic and open way.
Limited to 20 participants.
